Northwest ethnic arts collective is a group of artists mainly from the northwest area that do visual artworks, dance and or music that reflect a traditional or non traditional ethnic style or theme. The artists in this collective do not need to be of any particular ethnic background to join and the work they create does not need to reflect their particular ethnic background. The point of this collective is to help artist’s promote there works, to build community between artists and to help artists sell their works to a wider audience. Also some of the profit form Northwest ethnic arts collective art shows will go to Guinea Kids Education Fund an organization that helps young kids in Africa. The collective will include a website were each members works will be displayed with a bio and optional contact info to help promote their craft.
