Pappys Falla Seck is a griot artist from Dakar, Senegal, in West Africa. The griot in West Africa have a glorious history as keepers of music, history and story telling. Also the griot serves as musician and story teller for royal ceremonies and celebrations. As a resident artist in Seattle Pappys has taught drumming to youth and adults.
